I know but they will take the contrarian, anti-war stance much of the time. Hell of a lot more often than a mainstream lib paper. Pretty sure American Conservative is the same way, ie was anti intervention in Syria. So yeah it does make more sense that they would hold this stance, plus it is an excuse to be smug for them
