I heard Hugo Boss designed the SS uniforms to be black so they would hide the shit stains better

Since I am super pedantic...

Hugo Boss didn't design those uniforms. He owned one of the factories that produced these uniforms.

The predecessor to the SS, the SA had brown uniforms
