Does it make sense to buy it now?
I bought it a few months ago and it's still amazing. It's just the most complete version of splatoon 3 you can get. Matchmaking is still very active, and the story is very good, and the dlc is just awesome (it has one of the most special ambiance you could get in a splatoon game)
Yeah, as they said, there won't be any new features or gameplay updates, but there would be regular events, and balance updates as required.
Game is very much alive, and will stay so for at least a few years.
