Well, I am a bit of a shy person. So approaching people is kinda hard. My romantic relationships were - most of the times - a consequence of hanging out together and both of us sort of approaching towards it.
I understood the value of having deep friendships and open conversations with people (and family) a bit later in my life. So that's something that I'm also striving towards. As a kind, I didn't really trust other school friends and couldn't develop meaningful friendships. So I mostly spent my time alone indoors, reading and other stuff
Forgive me for prying, but you said you didn't trust other school friends. Is there a reason for that? Of course, you don't have to answer if you don't want to
