I have to wonder if he complained to the devs that his posts didn’t get enough impressions so they should update or “fix” the algorithm. Turned out it was easier to fake a change and he’s just now learning that he got tricked?
Most devs at Twitter are working just enough to look important for another week until they get accepted at another job.
Twitter developers fall into 1 of 3 categories:
H1B Visa holders who are stuck
Incompetent devs who can’t find another job
True believers (you know, morons)
