I'm astonished that he did this. It's the most cringe clickbaity youtube video that is also not at all cringe or clickbaity at the same time. Just give it a watch, you'll see.

I would bet money that the string had nothing to do with it and the sound just traveled through the air.

If you watch the video the mic and speaker was in the same room, easy to pick up background noise.

Logically you're probably at least somewhat correct but you're also missing the point. Dude reinvented modulation and demodulation for no reason.

Eh, I guess but we have always been able to carry signals through sound, it’s just always kinda sucked, that’s why we don’t do it, and this sucked so he didn’t really do anything.
