The discourse around Joker 2 is hilarious. Apparently the plot is so abysmal to the point where (spoilers)

Apparently there's a scene where Joker gets raped and turns back into regular Arthur. Part of the plot is that they raped the Joker out of him.Why on earth would the writers do that?
Because it's Avant-garde or something. I have no idea what's going on at Hollywood these days.
I have long felt they are trying to make the Joker into the DC Deadpool, and maybe they misunderstood the international women’s day segment in the first DP.
I always thought Harley was DC's Deadpool.
And here was me thinking it was Deathstroke. Or, more recently, Red Tool and Blood Pouch.
I wonder how comic-accurate Deathstroke was gonna be in the Snyderverse. He seemed more like Crossbones than a Deadpool-style character, in his brief appearance.
Cuz it's so dark and edgy lol!!!1!!
That contextualization of events shows that media literacy is truly dead.

Just before that, in the courtroom they bring up his childhood trauma of verbal, physical, and sexual abuse by his parents, and his entire mood shifts, scribbling manically in his notebook before a musical number goes off in his head concluding with him shooting himself in the head. And the guards are raping him in retaliation for outing their physical abuse of him in the courtroom. For the rest of the film he appears to be fighting suicidal ideation, and intentionally sheds the Joker persona publicly so that his miserable life can finally end.
