I was gonna say 3 body problem that shit and get them to try to take over but let's be real the us would nuke them at which point the situation sort of resolves itself
Iirc after all the maneuvering and actually interesting plot from books 1 and 2, in book 3 some fucking space hooligans stop nearby and flatten Earth into 2 dimensions Hitchiker's Guide style.
