Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I haven’t watched this yet, but I figure it’s notable for the sheer fact that it brought together Michael Hudson and Richard Wolff

Also why are there zero Hudson emojis but three for Wolff?

If you are on Android, newpipe and pipepipe allow you to stream audio only, or even download the video or audio file. The apps are on the fdroid store.

that sounds perfect; but i'm not seeing either on the google play store; so it looks like i'll have to side load them.

Definitely not in the play store as they are alt frontends for YouTube without ads. Here is the fdroid website: https://f-droid.org/en/

It's an app store with lots of open source and free apps.

This is the Github for pipepipe, I find it works best, though YouTube has those age restrictions and the app can't bypass anymore unfortunately: https://github.com/InfinityLoop1308/PipePipe

Newpipe is also unable to bypass age restrictions

Yeah that makes sense. I switched because newpipe was having problems. I don't remember either having issues with age restrictions until recently tho

Yeah same. Age restriction issues on newpipe came around a month or 2 ago
