Summary

Tens of thousands of people in New Zealand protested a bill that would reinterpret the country’s founding treaty, which they believe would dilute Indigenous Maori rights.

The bill, which lacks sufficient support to become law, aims to reinterpret the treaty to reduce discrimination against non-Indigenous citizens.

The protest, one of the largest in New Zealand’s history, highlighted the ongoing struggle for Maori rights and the importance of preserving their cultural heritage.

Does anybody have an article that details the existing situation and the changes the bill would make? That article was completely void of content.
