Cool, a Trump sales tax. Will it bring manufacturing jobs to the US? No, but it’ll help offset tax cuts for rich people by shifting some of the tax burden to poor people for 4 years and give them cover for downsizing.

Then when we elect a corporate-friendly Democrat to undo some of the damage in 2028, corporations can just lower prices by 5%, claim a win, and enjoy another collective price gouge. Fake inflation taught us that consumers will just suffer through their bullshit and blame whoever’s in office.

Then in 2032… another fascist can do tariffs again.

What a great country.
