I have a Triban RC100 and am looking to convert it to 11 speed. Seeing as I had a budget, I found Sensah Srx Pro and Shimano Rs100 wheels. That was when I got stuck.

I am looking to have some lower gears that would work offroad so what cassette would be compatible?

Thank you for your help.

Man, more I looked in to it the more I ask if it would be better to use decathlon buy back program and buy another bike (like GRVL 120).

But if I would suggest to look in to Microshift Advent X or sword shifters/derailleurs. They are cheaper, only 10 speed (that's good enough) and you can get decent gear range also if you go 2x it gets to even larger. It is compatible with shimano and fully mechanical.

I bikepack with 34/46 front and 11-42 back 10 speed and it is just barely enough gears.

You kind of beat me to the punch but I saw this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycling/comments/1266tr6/triban_rc100_sora_drivetrain_upgrade/?tl=fr

And wondered if the stock rim could accomodate the advent 1x9 or 1x10?

What do you think?

Would make finding e erything a lot easier.

Probably, shimano has 3 hub types.

  • 7,8,9 speed hub
  • 9,10 speed
  • 11, 12 speed (you can add shim to get it to 10)

If you have access to some 9 speed cassette, try to fit it (ask friends or lbs). I think that the 10 speed won't fit but the 9 might be OK.
