Hello friend, Lemmy isn't quite big enough that you need to post these twice, as it is, it will get seen even if you post to an entirely dead community. Multiple times just takes up space
Not everyone joins redundant communities. Just shake it off and move along. π
You don't need to join any communities to see them
You do if you don't browse all and instead curate your own feed.
I suppose so, I've never considered others probably browser different than me
I don't know if they posted to a community on an instance not federating with Lemmygrad but I don't see another post from their profile. But no, it's fine to post to different communities. That's also why cross-posting exists
The other two posts were to .world and to the βNo Tankie shitβ instance, so just as you imagined.
Lemmy isn't such a limited resource. Taking up space isn't that big a deal.
Tell me you donβt run a Lemmy instance without telling me you donβt run a Lemmy instance π
I do not run a Lemmy instance.
I know; itβs a meme: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/tell-me-without-telling-me
I know, I was doubling down to reinforce the veracity of the judgement against me, to contextualize my dissent
Agamemnon doth protest too much! π
Did I protest?
Ah the joys of lost social cues
Canβt win βem all π€·

Different instances are federated with different groups of other instances. By posting to multiple instances it makes it more likely that people would see the post that they would have otherwise not seen.
