Yeah. That's the problem.

Conservaturds: Make America Great AGAIN (implying it was great when there was slavery, or segregation, or sharecropping, or whatever it is in the past that they venerate so much)

Liberals: America Is ALREADY Great! (implying no further progress is needed and that our settler colonial empire is basically an ideal society)

Nobody in power is willing to say America Has Always Been Shit
