We were playing on the GBA SP, but the cart was the GameBoy original that came with my (definitely dead but I still have it) grey brick GameBoy.

I sold all my GB/A carts except that and FFTA.

Good old backwards compatibility. The only GBA cart I ever bought was due to my original NDS, still have it in fact.
Where these two your favorites?

Those, the GBA port of Zelda ][, and Mario Land 2, but I hadn't had the cart for ML2 in over a decade by the time I was selling the rest.
