where could someone find a pair of sturdy, comfortable goggles that an optometrist can put a prescription into?

The optometrist can cut the lenses to any frame, so I got pretty generic lightweight plastic frames and nice scratch resistant lenses.

I've had them for probably 7 years at this point, one of the arms broke ones so I went to the dollar store, bought one of those, removed the old, broken arm, added the new arm on.

works like new.

That's the only time they've broken, and I can always fit the new lenses into any of those bargain bin glasses if the frame breaks again.

you can try one of the 300 pairs the dollar store has, find the one that's more comfortable for you than the others, and there you go.
