The oligarchs don't realize the social democracy WAS the compromise. The alternative is general strikes and war in the streets, not "we just get to keep all the money and make you serfs again"

Depends. If people keep showing up for work, even though they're functionally serfs again, because they're too scared of losing their job or getting the shit kicked out of them for trying to organize a union, then they will get to make us serfs again.

You are completely right about social democracy, and I also hope and believe that your outcome is the alternative. But it's not the only alternative.

Curtis Marvin, one of the main silicon valley "intellectuals" inspiring Peter Thiel does not seem to understand where the word parliament comes from. He criticizes the royalty of Europe for giving their subjects too much power.

It's like they think they're playing a video game.
