I disagree with quite a few things here in this post but felt it was worth sharing for some insights.

Is there a permanent solution to eating food?

[–] jackalope@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 month ago

Yes but it's good for tech monopolists to compete against each other.

It seems like you didn't read the post.

You are badly misunderstanding many worlds theory.

What do you think "parallel universe theory" is?

"many worlds hypothesis" in quantum physics is nothing like Sci fi "parallel universe" stuff. Sci fi is fiction. Don't get your understanding of science from Sci fi.

Threads sucks compared to bsky don't know what you're talking about there. Bluesky has way more features and posting quality.

I mean I def agree with you about SAFe being garbage. And a lot of what you say I agree with or am open to.

But if you're not against tracking tasks or governance what do you think the solution is?

I def agree that the incentives of enterprise is a big part of the issue.

As a designer I've found it hard to work with some devs because they don't believe my work is real, or worth tracking in the same systems they track their work in. They'd prefer me to kind of hang on the outside and make pretty graphics at the whim of them and the product manager (they usually think of the design process as a coat of paint applied after the real work has been done, so that it can look attractive to stakeholders up stream. But in fact design is not primarily about aesthetics or "look and feel")

State is gerrymandered to hell.

And how do you expect to build a design system without some kind of task tracking or governance process?

Certainly it's an issue how product people get to control these mm processes but that's an implementation thing.

I find that multi blade razors work better on slightly longer hair but for really longer hair I would need an electric. When I go from fully bearded to clean shaven I usually run a pass with electric, then multi bladed, then safety razor.

It's damned hard to prove an antitrust case: so often, the prosecution has to prove that the company intended to crush competition, and/or that they raised prices or reduced quality because they knew they didn't have to fear competitors.

It's a lot easier to prove what a corporation did than it is to prove why they did it. What am I, a mind-reader? But imagine for a second that the corporation in the dock is a global multinational. Now, imagine that the majority of the voting shares in that company are held by one man, who has served as the company's CEO since the day he founded it, personally calling every important shot in the company's history.

Now imagine that this founder/CEO, this accused monopolist, was an incorrigible blabbermouth, who communicated with his underlings almost exclusively in writing, and thus did he commit to immortal digital storage a stream – a torrent – of memos in which he explicitly confessed his guilt.

Ladies and gentlepersons, I give you Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta (nee Facebook), an accused monopolist who cannot keep his big dumb fucking mouth shut.
