This is a certified 'Front end designed by the developers' moment. Sometimes frontend and UI people have a purpose

I used one of those years ago when working at one of the ‘big 4’ (and I think they’ve still got it). Made logical sense from the developer’s perspective but was a pain in the arse to use as an interface

When the user interface looks like a backend database config gui from 1997 then you really have a problem (cough hack so many ancient council programs).

Sounds like proprietary software that never got an update as well. Even better if there's something out of the box better on the market but it's too difficult to change
