Canadian soldiers in WWI and WWII are documented as sometimes following a "take no prisoners" policy. It happened in Normandy after some of them were captured by SS soldiers and summarily (and brutally) executed.
Besides, it's not like any military in the wars (and probably ever) never committed was crimes during a conflict.
Yeah, read up on some of the stories from the Black Watch (Royal Highland regiment) of Canada. Also any Canadian military history not published by Ottawa (such as an actual military historian)
