Glad I'm not the only one. Star Link in particular is starting to make me very uncomfortable ๐Ÿ˜•

SpaceX ironically was one of the outlets I had to avoid the doom of politics, now it's just all blending together and I'm running out of places to find any hope.

Do you think this community would benefit from a "no-politics" rule, or are political topics unavoidable at this point?

I don't think you can exclude where politics intersects with SpaceX. I can imagine, for example, Trump ordering the FCC to shortcut its process and give SpaceX whatever spectrum it wants and I think it would be unfair to exclude politics from the discussion of that

@threelonmusketeers @BedSharkPal its unavoidable, with a ceo, practical being the effective president and being a nazi/fascist, yeah we are way beyond 'no-politics'

@threelonmusketeers @BedSharkPal People have been denigrating the good work of the SpaceX engineers for a long time, because of EMs words and deeds. Until they and the senior managers speak to him and dissociate the company from his reckless behaviour, the brand is toxic.

Yeah, now that we know Starlink is led by a nazi, it changes from "a good idea to fund the Starship program" to "a means of controlling people, killing the net neutrality, and giving even more spying capabilities to the US military". The nail in the coffin for me was when I learned that a senior SpaceX employee (who joined in 2003) was actively taking part in the DOGE thing. Looks like SpaceX might be rotten at its core too, and this is very very sad to learn.

If you have it, you have already agreed that Musk is king of Mars
