Yep, Lemmy is awesome because no single individual or group can shape the narrative of the entire fediverse exactly the way they want. Let’s say there’s a guy who thinks it’s his mission to purge conservative voices from Lemmy because he’s mad about how they voted in the most recent election—well, he can’t really stop it. No matter how creative he gets with trolling, conservatives will keep joining and speaking up. And the irony? That same attitude—the belief that silencing opposition wins the battle—is exactly why Democrats lost the election. Fucking beautiful. I love watching the meltdowns on Lemmy. :)
