I finally plugged in the secondhand tv. No signal. Guess I need to buy a coaxial cable…
I see them at Bunnings for like $8 and I think I have the appropriate outlet in my wall but is there any particular kind to choose? Was looking at this in 3 or 5 metres https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-5m-coaxial-pal-tv-cable_p0201534
Ps. Sorry if this sounds dumb. I’m not big on tv and for many years didn’t even bother to have one. I just got a very cheap secondhand one to watch dvds.
Check if the centre posts are male or female.
This!
I’m no expert but they both look to be female
This is a female plug.
The male one has a solid centre pin. If you've got two female ports (in the TV and wall) you'll want a male2male lead to join them.
Beauty, the one here looks exactly the same. Thanks. I’ll add the cable to the list
