I'm gonna miss the subreddits I've made but if I remember correctly, subs can be passed onto somebody else and they weren't large or active subs so I think they'll be fine! I've used the platform for quite a while but between the API shutdown and the absolute jerks I've met there.. Yeah, I'm good.

Welcome! When I quit, I wondered how long it would take before I went back. But I love it here so much that I never felt the need. Feel free to restart your subs as communities here on Lemmy!

Want to add to this nice comment that OP is on beehaw, which to my knowledge doesn't allow users to create communities and tries to instead have a collection of broad subject communities. But if OP wants to create a community she can make another account on another instance to do create one and use that account + this one to moderate :)

I have an account on Lemmy.world but I just prefer Beehaw!

I've got accounts everywhere but lemm.ee has been the most stable. World seems to go down amlot and beehaw keeps talking about shutting down and moving to a different platform. So im hesitant to use that as a main.

If it makes you feel any better, admins are taking it slow and making sure sublinks is ready for federation before moving. Hence why they decided to update beehaw in the meantime

I mean i dont have any issue with them migrating. If it improves their community and its well being and gives them more admin tools they need to protect their usersthen im all for it. But I just dont want to main their instance if down the road they migrate and I need to do a new main.

So they still plan to migrate.

I've got a few accounts for interconnectedness basically, Beehaw is fun but not being connected to the largest instance (lemmy world) is a bit of a hurdle.

Personally I think I might make my slrpnk account my main one due to it's connectedness and having downvotes enabled. Don't get me wrong I dig blahaj but not having downvotes enabled is a bit of a sticking point for me. (though my blahaj account is the one I spent the most time on)
