Exactly. Not even a discount. I think it was even more expensive than the reddit version.
I just checked. It's $20 to remove ads. Wow.
I also checked to see how much it cost for the reddit version. I paid $4 to remove ads and $5 for the "pro" version. That's more than I've paid for any app. Now they want another $20 to remove ads on an app they neglect and ignore their customers? Disgusting.
Not just continued, but has gotten worse. Additionally, it's even more important to update more frequently because of the more frequent changes. It was also never fully functional for Lemmy. For example, spoilers have never worked.
To add to all that, they don't even have the decency to pop in for a quick comment or two just to help people feel better.
Wow that's a lot of salt for someone trying to value their work higher. Maybe just use a different app? Ironically I was a pro user on Reddit and have never been forced to upgrade on Lemmy as it has never shown me a single ad despite the fact that I would in heartbeat ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ , I have never had issues with any Sync app and I've been a user since...I dunno 2013?
I do agree that JDLawson has become more reclusive but he was never all that interactive with the community to be honest. I don't see that updates or stability of the app has really been an issue. Any time I have had problems they have always been native to Lemmy.
Wow that's a lot of salt for someone who just wants to express their frustration. Maybe go to another thread?
