So if we ran the odds, what is the likelihood some non-shitbag becomes rich and powerful?

Like, is there just to many shitbags in the world there is no scenario where a person who can hold true to their principles/values can win out?

Elon rich and powerful? No. You don't get to be a billionaire without stealing from people on a large scale somewhere in the chain, that simply isn't mathematically possible given the human lifespan and an assumed compensation proportional to productivity in some rational way. So anyone that rich must already be an unscrupulous individual with at least questionable ethics and beliefs.
