Not only those. I don't use social media because I get sucked in and waste my time. Friends of mine sometimes send me some reels or videos that they find “funny” that horrify me. Like people who are assaulted or mutilated. They are so desensitized and don't know it, or just don't care about it. It's a shame what social media is doing to our society.
That too. I don't think being desensitized to certain things is necessarily a bad thing and I genuinely do think some people are predisposed to be desensitized. As a kid, I naturally gravitated towards horror movies and action movies. Trying to be puritan, limiting my intake, etc wouldn't have helped in the age of the early internet, haha.
