The migrant crisis didn't start yesterday. People have been accusing governments of creating this chaos for years

[–] kahdbrixk@feddit.org 7 points 5 days ago (1 children)

You mean the right wing crisis, right? Because that's far more dangerous to our system then the small negative impacts of migration compared to all the positives it brought to us.

Are we talking about the same thing? In the past decades millions of people fled africa and the middle east because of the chaos and poverty first world countries fueled. Our capitalistic societies and authoritarian governments failed to integrate these people and instead exploited them for cheap labor.

Yeah that's true. A major player has been russia to destabilise those regions, with the very goal in mind to destabilise us.

Sure russia played his part but don't forget the role your government also had.

My research skills fail me here, maybe you can help me out. I live in germany.

That you can claim innocence should make you worried about your information sources. Germany delivered machines for chemical weapons for the Iran Iraq war. Germany supported the first war in Iraq with money. It was intelligence from the BND (Curveball) that was used to start the second one.

"According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Germany accounted for 30% of weapons imports into Israel between 2019 and 2023."

But that's not what you meant?

Supporting an ally with stabilisation in mind, that turns out to be an asshole that goes too far in their self defense, is different than destabilising regions for fun or profit.

Believe me, we are very dependent on a stabilised africa and middle east. Only actors against us would risk or like to destabilise them.

You sound totally unaware of what happened in the past 50 years in the middle east and africa.
