I’m talking about a new game but made with old graphics and mechanics similar to Megaman 9 & 10.

I personally think such a thing could sell gangbusters and honestly go on record as one of the greatest Pokemon games ever made, especially in recent years.

Reposted from !games@lemmy.world, here (they got a lot of responses), figured this would definitely be appropriate here, especially since I complained in the !games post about it being posted there first instead of here. Might as well be the change I want to see in the world.

No , don't understand wy peops want such thing . At best this'll only appeal to porkyman superfans who think RETVRNing to that pixel art style's best art direction for mainline games going forward , while every one else gets alienated

You do realize this is on !pokemon@lemm.ee, a place full of people who enjoy the series. Also, people who are not superfans do enjoy pixel art.

It's fine to have your differing perspective but I'm picking up a lot more "fucking fans, they ruin everything and all their dissent, especially preference of anything present in older games, is bad" and less from actually preferring a different art direction than the pixel art from the older series, and preferring the direction of the newer games.

There's difference between (wanting pixel art pokemon game|preferring pixel art styles) and believing Game Freak should revert to that art direction for their mainline games bcus "old = gꝏd new = bad" since SWSH's graphical controversies which I feel majority fan response's off the walls batshit imo and where most of this want for return to pixel art direction's coming from

And am pokemon fan tꝏ , know lots more about them as far's mainline game's concerned than some one who just casually enjoys the series . Sometimes do chores while listening to youtubers like BlueBoyPhin . But Game Freak's not gunna cater to cave every type of periphery pokemon fan's every want

Understand it's my "porkyman superfans" comment you're worried about , totally get that . But am not coming from place where I absolutely (hate pokemon|think (it's irredeemable franchise|every pokemon fan's insufferable prick⦆. If I did wouldn't even be here making this comment and would just (block the community|filter out every thing having to do with pokemon|.*)
