Are you asking what the term means? Masking is basically wearing an imaginary mask to hide whatever about you isn't deemed "normal" by society. Some typical examples are people with ADHD focussing very hard on noticing when it's their turn to speak, people with autism forcing themselves to make eye contact, people with depression putting on a happy face.
