This is kind of like saying eating food makes your cancer worse. The tricky thing with cancer is that they are just like regular cells except they are immortal and spreading out of control, but in general things that are good for you/nutritious are also good for cancer/sustain those cells too. For example my dad was on those athletic green multivitamin mixes with all sorts of stuff but one i'll single out is folate (which is in a lot of stuff and generally good for you). But when he was diagnosed with cancer the first thing they told him was to get off those vitamins since one of the chemo drugs was a folate inhibitor and if he was taking folate supplements it would contradict the treatment. I'm guessing its the same deal here, a regular vitamin thats good for you is also good for the cancer.
Yeah taurine is a pretty common amino acid
I was going to comment that too its just an amino acid, we're made out of the stuff and so is the cancer so this is a bit of a silly headline.
