For me it feels like breaking up with someone after many years. At the same time, I feel a bit dirty mentioning the name in the post title.

I miss what I lack, but reddit was also going stagnant. Time to build something greater. Decentralized, but moderated, social media is an interesting idea.

Lemmys devs' political... "Leanings" sure concern me though

Some of the devs describe themselves as "communists" and "anarchists"

Lemmy is decentralised so I don't think these leanings are detrimental to the platform.
