(neologism, politics) A small group of ultrawealthy men who exert inordinate control or influence within a political structure, particularly while espousing views regarded as anti-democratic, technofascist, and masculinist.
The shit is hitting the fan at such a high rate that it can be difficult to keep up. So this is a place to share such news.

Youre right, hadnt thought of legacy hardware being an issue, so yeah fair point.
But i am getting tired of people blindly doing things without even a little research and then getting alll upset when the product is trash. I spend hours comparing products and reading user experiences before purchasing, especially when it comes to home improvements. This is the responsibility of the customer, it should be the bare minimum when making longterm purchases like this. I dont fathom people who dont even take ten minutes to read up before hitting Order. My comments were directed at them.
Of course i think regulations should be stricter but i also know we dont live in a society who gives a fuck about safety. Therefore, people need to be more responsible for themselves. We all learned to stop picking up scam calls, it's a part of being in this shifting landscape of shit we're living in. People need to learn to be more careful in other areas too.
I think this is the key difference. The product being trash is one thing. The product sitting around quietly poisoning anyone who inhabits the house it is installed in for the next 30-40 years is a whole different issue that needs a whole different type of solutions.
