Does anyone here try to "one up" their partner? So, I made spag bol (lots of servings) for the man with garlic bread. He's buying me fresh oysters and caviar. I bought him grapes. I think I've lost this one.

I have to try hard not to, because it'll get out of hand very quickly. But hell yes to fresh oysters and caviar!

It doesn't have to be gifts only. Eg. "I mowed your lawn for you". "Well I washed your socks for you". Then you laugh ๐Ÿ˜‚

I mowed the lawn AND bought him a really nice umbrella, so Iโ€™m ahead atm

You've lobbed it. 30/0 ๐ŸŽพ

We do with surprise gifts. My wife a cool set of PJs for me recently and got them. I reciprocated with a nicer set for her. Pretty much told her no more sleepwear for the time being. At risk of getting pricey and silky

You gotta do nice things for each other otherwise they're just a room mate.
