The USA is already involved. There is no point of return now. I fail to see how china would allow iran to fall to it's biggest enemy the USA

Well NATO countries view themselves as a collective empire so there are either master/vassal relations or enemies, my point is that China probably doesn't view the world that way, they likely view the West foreign politics as just stupidly short sighted.
