My grandma claims the U.S will collapse and join with Europe (lemmygrad.ml)

So my grandmother is a zealot, black Christofascist who believes in the second-coming. For centuries they have been trying to "trick God" into triggering a second coming with the Muslim vs Christian wars and nothing happened. This time, my grandmother thinks it's serious. She thinks that there's going to be a New world order.

She has contradictions in her opinions. She believes that the bible says when Israel is surrounded by armies, something is about to happen. But she also believes Jesus will spawn in Israel and completely destroy it.

Anyway, the main point is that she believes the U.S will be defeated or weakened by Russia and China, and that the U.S will have to join the EU. She believes the U.S of America will become the U.S of Europe. So basically rename the U.S. She also claims that there's a big post office being built in Europe and that's where American mail will go through from then on.

I know her ideas seem crazy, but I want to know where they stem from. They stem from many places I can tell. She's super deluded on this idea.

If you look into the text of Revelation, Gog and Magog, the Antichrist, and so on, you'll get more context on this sort of drivel. This prophecy is one reason why Christian fundamentalists want to concentrate all the Jewish people in Israel - because in an Apocalypse, it would kill all of them, fulfilling the prophecy. Going off the text of the prophecy also reveals that Trump is the Anti-Christ. This is one reason why I don't trust Christian Zionists, because the prophecy they are trying to fulfil is basically Final Solution 2.0 and is deeply anti-semitic.

I'm starting to think the "prophecy" is really just an analogy or fable like many other bible scriptures. This "prophecy" is simply a metaphorical way to describe how nations fall.

No but for real the book of revelations is just a coded reference to the roman empire. Like that’s actually the scholarly consensus that it’s just shit talking roman imperialism and is using a bunch of metaphors and references only jews would’ve understood to avoid getting in trouble

Edit: btw “the beast” is just nero and 666 was originally 616 which comes from doing hebrew numerology on nero’s name

this article gives a brief overview of the history of the book of revelation and reviews a book that probably goes into much more detail, and this specifically covers the connection between nero and the antichrist and the Beast as well as how 666 comes from נרון קסר (‘nrwn qsr’ from greek Neron Kaisar) and how 616 comes from נרו קסר (‘nrw qsr’ from latin Nero Caesar)
