Have you tried reading theory that's more boring or impenetrable? I've not had this problem before so I'm just spitballin
I don't know wjat you mean exactly, but i need good smooth storytelling, which is why I love Parenti's essays and speeches so much.
Why do you need good, smooth storytelling? Isn't that what is making you manic? What about Hegel or Kant? Have you read those?
I need it because that's pretty much the only reason I read. Maybe I should try other kinds of stuff. Are there any works by Hegel or Kant that you find enjoyable?
