Stow-ic (Stoic): To be emotionally disconnected, stable, without reaction.

Sto-ike (Stoich): Slang, of an engine to be running at it's optimal stoichiometric ratio for combustion

I spend too much time in car groups.

Stoich is also a general term for stoichiometry, in chemistry. Same idea as with engines, but more general.

Flashbacks to chemistry class where we calculated this shit, get me out!

I've seen that terminology used for engines, but I had no idea it was pronounced different and had another meaning.
