Anyone have any good recommendations leftist Mastodon instances? I generally use Mastodon as a more relaxed backup account where I can blog about gardening, game dev, and media in general, but I do also talk about politics a fair bit. I'd been using gamedev.lgbt because the owner of it is pro-Palestine, but they're not fond of me using my Kamala edit as my pfp - which kind of sours the whole account gimmick - so I'm thinking of moving.

I'm on the "kolektiva.social" instance; however, I want to migrate to the "toots.matapacos.dog" instance because I think that they are more tolerant of Marxist ideas there. If you read the rules of "kolektiva.social", they say that Marxist "propaganda" is not allowed.

I've been waiting for over 24 hours and still haven't been approved on 'toots.matapacos.dog'. Is it normal for them to take this long, or won't they approve me? I'd like to know more options... In Spanish, I know about 'rda.komintern.work' but it's very small and I don't know how hard it is to get approved there.

Took me like two days to get verified. Matapacos.dog doesn't federate with kolektiva.social, so you can't interact with folk from there which is kind of annoying, but you could migrate there (sans followers from kolektiva.social) if you use a go between instance.
