We run a few different frontends to give people choice over how they view the site. The site
lemmy.cahas one main backend where all the data is stored and managed, and then a few different frontends that connect to it. Only the default frontend is made by the same developers as the lemmy backend, so it tends to be the most stable and up to date with features, and that's the one we have set for when you just type in lemmy.caYou can check out the other frontends with the following links:
In the case of this post, you can find the list of instances while using the default frontend by going to this page: https://lemmy.ca/instances
This information will be true regardless of which frontend you are using to use the site.
old.lemmy.camight also display that information on some other page, but I'm not as familiar with it personally.
