  • Brush: AP Shave Co. black & clear handle w/ 30 mm Tuxedo Fan knot
  • Razor: Stando Perun
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - Rasoigoodfellas Gold Club
  • Post-Shave: Lavera Men sensitive ASB

-> just one pass on the head and the neck. Solid shave though!

Today I was looking for a speedy shave yet again and thought that a Stirling soap should do the trick rather fast in terms of lather performance. Unfortunately, most of the Stirling I still own is autumn themed: Texas on Fire and Autumn Glory are very definitely cold weather scents. Then I remembered this funny piece of European wetshaving lore I own: so basically Rasoigoodfellas, the folks behind "The Goodfellas' Smile" and main european importer of american artisan soaps based in Italy, made a deal with A&E when "The Club" was still around - users would subscribe to a monthly payment plan and in turn receive the ability to purchase "The Club" soaps, get exclusive discounts, early access to sales and whatnot. Since only A&E soaps was a bit meager in their opinion, they also commissioned an exclusive soap from Rod of Stirling: a dupe of Bvlgari Man in Black which arguably smells quite good. However, despite their biggest marketing efforts, the "exclusive wetshaving products club" thing tanked even harder in the EU than everyone expected, leaving them sitting on a big pile of previously "exclusive" soap. They sold everything off to the general public within some sales, that's how I got mine. It smells really good, basically a masculine cologne soap but with a well-chosen scent (Bvlgari perfumes tend to smell great while they last, contrasted by poor projection and longevity) and the usual great Stirling soap quality. I really like this one, even though the backstory of it is a massive blunder/failure.

First day back at work after 12 free days left me exhausted. Doesn't help that it's rather hot outside either. Holiday season in nursing sucks, I had to work on my side with an older colleague who mostly covers late and night shifts so we were slow and everyone was nagging us about it. I'm glad to change stations at the end of the month...
