It really is the best boss fight of game. Raphael is channeling his inner Disney villain in full.
I finally finished him solo in one round two nights ago. He was the single hardest enemy to achieve this against.
Please tell me how the fuck you did that. You did 666 points of damage in one round??
It's not too difficult to do with some of the broken builds and items. Monk/Rogue can do it, as can GWM Sorlockadin and throwing Barb/Rogue.
Then of course there's the goomba stomp monk but you're gonna be there forever.
The main issue with all of the builds you've called out is consistency. All but Goomba Stomp have a damage cap of 450-490 without debuffing Raphael and I've never been able to get better than a 55% chance on Perilous Stakes with a Melee build. They just can't build Arcane Acuity charges fast enough to overcome his save modifiers even with Shriek. All of them can 2 round no problem. It's cramming buffing and debuffing into the first round where you run into the difficulty. I've tried them for the fight and watched youtube vids, and they just can't get better than 55% for a solo one round.
While Goomba Stomp doesn't have a damage cap what it's most effective at is dealing psychic damage to the player. I tried it on Karlach my first run and I only lasted 1/2 a long rest before respecing.
