I think the reply by musk is paying-subscriber-only; when I saw someone post about it, it said something like "only the people who have subscribed to this person can view this tweet"

I've left twitter since Musk took over, so I'm not familiar with things anymore. Paid subscribers, is that like following someone but then you need to pay to do so?

Something like that, it lets you "support" your favorite creators and gives you access to subscriber-only posts

MrBeast explained in a podcast that the subscription is so only other youtubers bother to see it, he doesn’t want to bore casual followes with the stats he posts.
