How's the censorship around here? (lemmy.world)

The reddit piracy community was in a neverending struggle to avoid being banned from the site, constantly censoring and restricting what people could post to keep the reddit admins happy. What's the situation with that sort of thing on lemmy? Is it a free for all? Same situation as back there? Something in between? I guess we may all find out together...

here's the proof you asked for, including mod logs.

TLDR: posts critical of the Chinese ruling party seems to be getting taken down, including mainstream news articles

that being said, I personally just arrived here, have had zero censorship experiences here so far, and am hoping for the best

God damn that is so disturbing. I'm already losing hope for this platform if things like this are already happening. People should be free to speak as they please.

If you disagree, dispute the argument. I cannot stand ban culture!
