This is not fair.

As a woman who keeps accidentally dating dudes named Robert, I keep coming up with new nicknames to keep them obviously different. That's the power move.

Also the Roberts all appreciate having a new, more unique name, so that's a good sign. Just make sure the person doesn't mind the nickname you choose, and you're in good.

I live in Norway and like every second person is named Chris. There's Kristoffer, Kristina, Kristine, Kristian etc. and I know at least two people with each of those names.
Whenever my girlfriend refers to any one of them I have to flip through a mental rolodex to figure out who the hell she's talking about.
I really should start giving them nicknames.

I know about 10 people called Alex, 4 of whom I'm close to. It's exhausting to keep track of who knows which Alex and which Alex everyone might be referring to when they don't specify.
