A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Reddit still has tons of useful content and I'm expecting to be clicking on it or some sort of archive in the future. I won't be active of the platform in any way but there's still value in the content they're now using as leverage.
the /r/datahoarder (!datahoarder@lemmy.ml - not much activity here yet, might be some on other instances not yet synced in) community have been hard at it as usual, but there is so much to backup, and they are relying on the API to do it in most cases. we can go back to scraping if needed.
I deleted my posts and commentary recently, but left the account open.
Are they though? I didn't know there was any word from the reddit team since the blackout started
