How is anyone supposed to help when you don't tell us how to reproduce it? You literally copied "Steps to reproduce 1) Do something 2) Do something else".

Developers have zero idea what you are doing in their app when you file a bug report. Something as simple as this can have very detailed steps to reproduce.

Steps to reproduce
  * Open the app, navigate to any instance
  * Go to a community that supports images (like [!pixaraimemes@lemmy.ml](/c/pixaraimemes@lemmy.ml))
  * Create a post
  * Attach any image to post (I used a jpg, _attach the jpg you used_)
  * Click Submit

Expected: Post should post correctly with the image
Actual: Error message "Could not upload image"

There, that so hard to do? You know why it's important? Because who knows what you were trying to do. Were you trying to upload a gif? A jpg? Were you posting to a community/instance that doesn't support images? Are you adding it in the comments? New post? Editing post?

In your case lemmy.world was having issues, but you ran here to spam bug report, did as little effort as possible, and went on your merry way. If you said in your steps "Log in as a lemmy.world user" that could have worked. Because based on your steps I'd log into my instance, test it out, see that image uploads are working for me, and had no idea what bug you were seeing.

You cannot just scream bug without telling developers how to see the bug. They are not mind readers. If image uploads aren't working, then type it out.

And if it's not worth typing out, then it's not worth the bug report.

From a very burnt out software engineer who (in my application) would immediately throw this bug report in the garbage. You're very lucky LJ has the patience of a saint.

Maybe start with what you need instead of the condescending reply to another reply. I didn't have time to look into this earlier. I just wanted to throw out an issue to see if anyone else was also experiencing it. Next time I will just not post anything.
