A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

Both are pastes made of mashed beans (peanuts and chickpeas are beans.) They also have a similar nutrient profile and are both used for similar dishes.

are both used for similar dishes.

Man, I love hummus and jelly sandwiches. As well as my peanut butter shawarma.

Reese's hummus cups are to die for.

Mmm, I'm going to melt some hummus over my ice cream.

I know you're joking, but You've just given me the Idea for pad Thai shawarma.

Tbh, a stoned discovery that I still enjoy is chocolate chip cookies dipped in hummus.

Hold up... Melting peanut butter over ice cream?

How did it take me four decades on this earth to find out that this was an option‽

Treat yourself.

I especially like to use chunky peanut butter.

I addressed this earlier, hummus is used for savory while peanut butter is used for sweet.

Then they aren't really the same thing.

You could've just said they're both bean pastes, lol

Still no hummus one! Chickpea water is not hummus.

And I don't think a Thai Hummus Curry would work very well...

The blondies are made with chickpeas, not hummus...and they have peanut butter, which means the (not) hummus isn't a replacement for the peanut butter.

But I do appreciate your efforts in your search!

The original concit was peanuts and chickpeas, not hummus, are similar. Hummus has garlic and sesame seed puree added. Individually I know those things have sweet analogues, halawa and garlic icecream respectively.

Chickpeas have many used in sweet cooking

Peanut has many uses in savory dishes, some even direct replacements for chicpeas.
