I think they got confused between 'unreal' and 'ethereal'.

Ethereal makes no sense here anyway. That's a mountain, one of the most substantial things on the planet, about as far from ethereal as you can get.

Nah. Rivers are basically the urethra of a mountain. That's what they are obviously talking about.
