Complained the countries that have housing crisis.

I rather a place were growing population get to live comfortably over an empty space for rich people to kick a ball around.

I have no love for golf courses, but also no faith in the Chinese economy to actually deliver on this (obviously satirical) proposal.

Watch this video. Those massive half-built apartment complexes are not meant for people to live in, they're investments to own ~~by the kind permission of pooh bear~~. They're basically treated like NFTs that occupy real space and never get finished because there is no profit in making them livable once they have an owner.

Those places actually do get populated now, though that doesn't mean China doesn't have a problem.

This is public housing, meaning the funding is coming from the government. They'll be lucky if it gets as far as quarter built.
